As part of our ambitious growth strategy, Ab Ovo is looking for an Account Executive New Business DACH with a passion for supply chain and logistics who can help us build and grow our business activities.

The role 

In this role, you will be responsible for discovering and tracking new sales prospects, negotiating deals, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, to help Ab Ovo achieve the company objectives around revenue, new business growth and visibility whilst ensuring alignment with our global proposition plan, vision and mission. In short, you will help us meet and surpass business expectations and contribute to our company’s rapid and sustainable growth.

Manage and execute sales cycle activities

You create new targets in the agreed market segment. You are responsible for your demand generation process by managing your own calls, meetings, demo sessions, etc. needed to ensure sales success. You will identify, attend and/ or organize conferences and other network opportunities to develop a network, present Ab Ovo and their products to the market and target customers. You prepare the commercial reports and align with DACH MD on commercial decisions needed. You will partner with marketing and subject matter experts to develop whitepapers, presentations and other commercial material. Last but not least you take care that all commercial data are kept in the CRM system.

Manage BID process

You identify appropriate BID’s in the defined markets and prequalifies them. You manage as bid manager appropriate actions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a complete and competitive proposal.

Development and roll-out new strategies

You will be responsible for the development and roll-out of new strategies to build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities that result in new business. You will continually be messaging and you will increase awareness and strengthen our company’s position as a thought leader in the regions.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have proven 5 years of sales experience in B2B IT (Solution) Sales.
  • You have an outstanding track record in selling to the line of business. This is not a product, feature/function show and tell approach. This is about demonstrating the compelling, immediate impact you will have on their business financially, operationally, and through to customer satisfaction. They don’t just need your solution, they WANT your solution.
  • You are a go-getter, the one out in the field uncovering opportunities in which to sell. You know what it means to define and create a market; cold calling, generating your own leads, and then driving them through a rigorous sales process to qualify effectively.
  • You bring high-level contact experience i.e. C-suite or business owner depending on the size of the prospect. You are resourceful and able to engage the right people to bring the deal to the table.
  • You know and can handle complex sales contracts, you have the ability to discuss & negotiate contract T&C’s.
  • You have solid sales management experience including building account plans and developing growth strategies.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • You do what you promise, and deliver against agreed-upon timelines, schedules, and expectations.
  • You have a passion for supply chain and logistics & rail.
  • You have a relevant bachelor/master’s degree.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
  • You are willing and able to travel.
  • You live in Germany, preferably in the Düsseldorf region.
