What do Passau in Germany, Linz in Austria, Breclav in Czech Republic, Bratislava in Slovakia and Sopron in Hungary have in common? They are all destinations of Raaberbahn Cargo, a young and dynamic railway company in the Danube region.
They are also destinations that are now connected through Ab Ovo’s next-generation Rail Management System (RMS).
On November 17, 2025, the first RMS module, PLEX, went live—bringing advanced capabilities for train preparation, path management, operational execution, and real-time tracking. This is more than a system upgrade; it’s a leap toward smarter, faster, and more reliable rail logistics.
This marks a major milestone in the digital transformation of rail freight operations at Raaberbahn Cargo.
RMS is designed to streamline every step of the process—from customer offers and contract management to capacity planning, scheduling, and billing. By integrating these workflows into one powerful platform, Raaberbahn Cargo is setting new standards for transparency, efficiency, and customer service.
The full rollout will continue in phases:
- Phase 1 (Live Now): PLEX module for operational excellence
- Phase 2 (Q1 2026): OTOC module for automated invoicing and billing
- Phase 3 (Q2 2026): RP module for comprehensive train and resource planning
- Phase 4 (Q3 2026): Activity module for managing additional services and costs
With a seamless implementation period and a frictionless go-live this week, Ab Ovo and Raaberbahn Cargo are driving rail freight into the future together.
