Dr. Thorsten Bieker
Vice President Bulk Logistics & Site Services, BASF SE
With a strong academic foundation in both Chemistry and Economics from Mainz, culminating in a PhD in Chemistry from Gutenberg University Mainz in 1994, Thorsten has built a distinguished career at BASF. Starting in Distribution Safety in 1994, they advanced to Head of the Export Department by 1999, and subsequently took on international roles including Managing Director of Procurement & Logistics in Korea and Senior Manager in the USA. By 2007, he was the CEO of Rail4Chem Group, before returning to BASF as VP of Procurement and Logistics in Antwerp and later as VP of Bulk Logistics & Site Services at BASF SE, a role he has held since 2013.
Eglè Šimė
CEO LTG CArgo
E. Šimė joined the LTG Cargo management team in August 2019 and became the CEO in January 2022, recognized for her effective management of the company’s largest division and her strategic vision. Prior to LTG Cargo, she held leadership roles at Maxima group’s UAB Franmax, companies in the Ignitis group, the UAB Business Service Centre, and the VŠÁ Energy Training Centre. E. Šimė holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Lithuanian University of Education.
Linda Thulin
Vice President - Trafikverket
Linda Thulin is responsible for International development and relations on railways at Trafikverket, the vice President of RailNet Europe and also the President of the European Rail Freight Corridor ScanMed. She has more than 20 years of experience in the railway sector and has been responsible for roles such as national traffic management, business development, safety, security and contingency management, maintenance, strategy, traffic information, customers and associations relations.

Infrabel - Key Account Manager Ports I-CBE.5 PortRail Solutions
Introducing Joke Van den Dooren, a seasoned professional with 15 years at Infrabel, Belgium’s railway network manager. As the ports expert, she leads initiatives to facilitate the shift of goods transport from road to rail. Collaborating with major ports like Antwerp-Bruges and North Sea Port, Joke aims to double rail freight. Her team’s “rail vision for ports” plan drives these efforts, making rail transport more efficient and environmentally friendly.

The fee for this event is €400 which will be invoiced upon registration. The fee covers attendance at the event, roundtable discussions, dinner and one-day ticket to InnoTrans 2024. Travel and accommodation are not included in the fee. Ab Ovo or Railfreight.com does not make any profit on this fee.
